বিনোদন জগতে Haiwaan Movie Review — Blind Man’s Bluff নিয়ে এখন বেশ আলোচনা। সিনেমাওয়ালায় আমরা খবরটা নিজস্ব ভাষায় সাজিয়ে তুলেছি।
Haiwaan is officially a Hindi adaptation of Priyadarshan’s own Malayalam thriller Oppam।
The original, released in 2016, starred Mohanlal as Jayaraman, a man blind from birth who works as a lift operator and caretaker in an apartment complex।
The Hindi version retains the central idea but gives it a new cast and setting, with Saif Ali Khan stepping into the protagonist’s shoes as Shyam Rane.What makes the character interesting is that his blindness is not merely a limitation।
Like Jayaraman, Shyam has developed an extraordinary dependence on his other senses।
He can hear, smell and feel things that sighted people may miss।
He is also a trained wrestler, which makes him an unusual action hero।
Saif plays him with restraint, avoiding the temptation to turn blindness into a dramatic gimmick।
Priyadarshan had apparently advised him not to watch Oppam so that Mohanlal’s performance would not influence him and that seems like sensible advice।
Mohanlal and Saif are very different actors and Saif makes the role his own।

A blink-and-you-miss-it appearance by Mohanlal is a lovely nod to the original.The basic thriller mechanics remain familiar।
Shyam becomes the prime suspect when retired Judge Pradhan (Boman Irani) is murdered।
The real killer, Parshuram Gokhale (Akshay Kumar), has his own reasons for targeting the judge’s young daughter Nandini (Pahal Chaudhary)।
He tries to use Shyam to get to her, while Shyam, who knows Nandini’s secret, becomes determined to protect her।
The resulting cat-and-mouse game works best when the film allows Shyam’s heightened senses to drive the suspense rather than relying purely on conventional chase sequences.Akshay Kumar is clearly having fun experimenting with darker material, and it is refreshing to see him play an out-and-out black character।
Parshuram is a chilling figure, but Priyadarshan wisely resists showing his violence in graphic detail।
Most of the killings happen off camera।
His menace is established effectively through one particularly casual act of violence involving Rajpal Yadav।
It tells us almost everything we need to know about the character without turning the film into a gore fest.The supporting cast is one of the film’s strengths।
