The lyrics for this grim-toned song were written by none other than the legendary poet and filmmaker, Gulzar।
The title, Sach Ka Daayra, will be the only song to feature in Daayra, composed by Amit Trivedi and sung by B।
Praak. For the music launch event, the National Award-winning Filmmaker Meghna Gulzar attended along with her father, Gulzar, and the lead cast, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Prithviraj Sukumaran।
The event saw a number of perspectives shared by the attendees with respect to the filmmaking process of the film.Gulzar sir spoke on how proud he was of his daughter, Meghna Gulzar, and of her approach to filmmaking।
He jokingly said, “Meghna mujhe apne scripts sunghne bhi nahi deti hai.”(Meghna does not even let me hear the scripts.) Meghna Gulzar believes in portraying the story she has in her head to full effect and tries to avoid being clouded by any other opinion. Even Prithviraj, during an exclusive with , had backed the notion, expressing her commitment to bringing out the characters with the right actors।
He said, “She creates these wonderful, well-written characters, and she entrusts those characters to those she believes will be good in those roles.” Kareena Kapoor Khan felt the same about Meghna Gulzar।
She termed Meghna a taskmaster, and someone who is kind and loving yet has good command of the entire filmmaking process. When asked about their conflicting personalities whilst being on the same side of the force, Prithviraj mentioned how important it was for both him and Kareena to make sure they understood their own characters motives well।

He explained, “It was very important for us to understand, yes, we play characters, but we also play perspectives।
